Before I come back to Fabric Fest recap, let me share with you my new card for the Slice Fabric Tool by Elan Innovations. I am elated to be doing another card for them. Remember Critter Jamboree? Well, I have designed another card after Ashbury Heights, my fabric line for Riley Blake Designs. I got a sample card in my hot little hands on Friday!
Cindy their art director met me at Farmington Station for lunch, and I got to see what the packaging will be like as well. I'm so excited. Thanks for lunch Cindy it was awesome as you are! Anyways, to use the card you need two things to get you started!
You need the Slice tool and I recommend the Hand Free Tool, with larger mat! They are amazing! You need their spray adhesive, the spatula to lift designs, and some good interfacing. I will come back and share tips on another blog post later. The largest area it cuts up to is within a 4 inch span. So tiny blocks, or tiny embellishments for fun projects.
I've been busy cutting away, testing out the card. Let me show you some fun blocks so far.
Here are a few of my favorite blocks. Sorry lighting isn't the best, but I'm on a quick deadline to get this done for Quilt Market! The phones are my favorite!!! I will be sneaking more on instagram or follow me on facebook!
