Fabric Fest was truly amazing! Great shout out to Riley Blake Designs for putting on such an amazing event, with amazing classes, keynote speakers, and taking us to Donnie and Marie's show. It was so fun to be apart of this event and to participate in taking some classes. There is so much to share that I just want to recap one day at a time.
We got there first on Monday afternoon. We went up to registration and got welcomed with such a great bag of goodies. Plus, Riley Blake Designs made these amazing bags for everyone!
Look at this quilted bag! It's made out of Riley Blake's Pop and Sunglasses. We got such a nice swag bag, with presents from several companies. For example we got scissors, thread, some interfacing, tape, magazine and a few other things. The bag was amazing, because each day I could load it up with the supplies for my classes that I had, and was able to take it with me where ever I go. Plus we each got a make and take, filled with fabric and supplies to make them with the instructions. They really put alot of thought into this event.
Later that evening they had a welcome social, where you could go eat and shop. Instead my husband and I went to Pen and Teller. As we got into our seats, which were awesome and close to the stage, we noticed the guy playing on the stage. Who do you think it is?
Yep that's Penn! He's playing and looking all around. The piano guy invited everyone up to the stage to sign a piece of paper, so we headed on up and here is my Mister signing his name.
I don't want to give the trick away incase you ever go to the show in Las Vegas, but it's pretty cool how they utilize the signature sheet. I do recommend going to Penn and Teller. What a fabulous show, very entertaining, great in magic, with a hint of comedy.
Here is my favorite part, getting a picture with Teller. Yes he does talk after the show, and yes he took this picture with my phone! What an amazing magician he is! So that's the recap on the first day of Fabric Fest, check back later for the next recap!
